Title: Resurrecting Doyle Parts 7-9 Author: Danielle E-Mail: willow-n-oz@webtv.net (Even though I'm no longer an Oz fan) Summary: A Buffy/Angel crossover. Willow does a spell to resurrect Doyle. Disclaimer: All the characters belong to Joss and a bunch of big companies. Spoiler: "Hero" Angel ep. Classification: Willow/Spike, Buffy/Angel, Cordelia/Doyle, a brief Willow/Doyle, Xander/Anya Notes: I was so bitter about Doyle being killed. I decided to write a fic about Willow resurrecting him. :) AnythingWillowFanfic- I'm sorry Willow's not in this part, but I promise she's playing a major part in the future. This is just a neccessity of the story. Feedback: I am begging you! Please! I need to know if you like this. It's one of my darker fics. Well, the beginning is. Triple A arrived at the ditch Angel and Cordelia were stuck in about fifteen minutes later. Angel got out of the car and met them at the top of the hill. "It's down there," he said pointing down the hill. The man in the tow truck backed it down the hill. Then another man hooked the car to the back of the tow truck. Cordelia quickly decided she didn't want to be in the car when they towed it up the hill. She got out of the car and joined Angel at the top of the hill. Soon, the car was on the road again, but now it was muddy. "Ew!" Cordy said. "I can't go to Sunnydale with a dirty car." Angel sighed his nonexistant breath. "Thanks," he said to the men and joined Cordy in her car. "We are going by a car wash, right?" she asked. "You take me into town. You go clean your car." "Great!" Cordy started the car and began driving again. ********** Anya walked to Xander's house. When Xander saw her appear in his bedroom in the basement, he greeted her with, "It's about time you got ready!" Anya was taken aback. "What? No 'hey, honey'? No kiss?" "I've been waiting four hours for you." "I wanted to look perfect for our anniversary. That's why we're going out tonight, right?" Xander's eyes widened. He had totally forgotten about his and Anya's anniversary. He was so concerned about Willow. It's a good thing she turned me down. Guess we're not going to the Bronze. "Well?" Anya asked. "What?" "Aren't you going to get dressed for our date tonight?" Xander looked blankly at her. "You're not planning on wearing that, are you?" Anya's eyes scanned up and down his clothes. He was wearing bright pink and black striped flannel pants and a red t-shirt. Xander looked down at his outfit. "What's wrong with it?" Anya sighed. This is going to be a long night. she thought. *********** Buffy and Willow left Giles's a few minutes ago. Giles closed the door after them. He turned around and looked at Spike. "Ok. Back into the tub you go." "Is this really necessary?" Spike asked. "Yes, it is. Willow may trust you, but I don't." Giles walked toward Spike. "Let's go." He started to pull him back into the bathroom by his arm. Giles had the plan of unchaining Spike every time Willow came over. Then after she left, he would chain him back up. Spike was getting tired of Giles's little game of chaining him up when Willow wasn't around. Hadn't he done enough for them? They should realize he couldn't kill them in this moment of his unlife. "Sit," Giles instructed and pointed to the bathtub. Spike reluctantly sat down finding no way out of it. *********** Cordelia passed the 'Welcome to Sunnydale' sign Spike had run over so many times in the past. "Now, can we wash my car?" Cordy asked impatiently. "Yeah," Angel replied. Cordelia swerved across the road to the gas station/carwash. "Don't kill us before you get there," Angel gripped the armrest. "I won't," Cordy said and sped to the change slot to the carwash. Then she drove through it. After she got through it, she got out of the car and looked at it. "Much better." She got back in. "Where are we going?" "Let's go to the mansion. You need some sleep. I'll lurk around town for a couple of hours. See if I can find anyone." "Ok." Cordy swerved on the road again and drove to the mansion. ********** Willow went home after she left Giles', but Buffy needed to patrol. She didn't want to put Willow in any danger. She needed to figure out why those vamps were in town besides the hellmouth being here. She was at Restfield Cemetary earlier so she went to Austin Family Crypt. Once she was there, she didn't see one vampire. She walked around the crypt twice. Then she waited for a few more minutes. When nothing moved, she started to walk back to the dorm. Angel stepped out of the shadows of the nearby woods. He kept a safe distance behind her on their way to the dorm. Buffy sensed there was someone behind her. It felt kinda like.... "Angel?" Buffy asked quietly. No answer. She walked a few steps and spun around. She didn't see anyone. She gripped the stake in her jacket tighter. She turned around again. She still didn't see anyone. She walked the rest of the way to the dorm. When she got there, Willow was already asleep. I'll just tell her about this tomorrow. Buffy thought. ************** Eventually, Anya had convinced Xander to wear something a little more romantic. She wasn't lucky enough to get him to wear a tux, but she did get him to wear khakis and a baby blue polo shirt. "That's a little better," Anya said looking at his outfit. "Ok, I refuse to get more dressed up than this!" Xander said and pulled his shirt away from his skin. "Oh, you look just yum. I could eat you right up. But you told me we were going out tonight, so that's what we're going to do." Xander wasn't sure what to say. "Ok..." Anya tugged him by the hand. "Let's go before eyerything closes." Xander let himself be tugged by Anya. ************* Angel followed Buffy home to make sure she got there safely. After she walked into her dorm building, Angel couldn't decide what he was going to do next: Go to the mansion to check on Cordy, go to Giles' and tell him he's back like he did on Thanksgiving, or follow Buffy and tell her he's back. Angel finally decided he would go to the mansion then go to Giles'. He would wait a while to tell Buffy he's back. Angel turned and walked toward the mansion. When he got there, he heard Cordelia screaming. He ran into the mansion and followed the screams. They were coming from his old bedroom. He stopped running when he reached the door. He stood and watched her for a couple of minutes. She was in his old bed sleeping. She had tears running down her face and she was twisting and turning under the covers. Angel was at her side in an instant. He was trying to wake her up. "Cordelia..." he said quietly so he wouldn't startle her. He shook her. Cordelia's eyelids flung open. She sat up quickly. She looked at Angel and hugged him tightly. "Angel!" she said. "What was it?" he asked. The tears began rolling down her cheeks again. "Doyle. He... He-" Cordy was cut off by her own sobs. Angel waited for her to continue. Cordy pulled away from him and wiped her hair out of her face. "I saw Doyle die again," she said quietly. "But this time it was worse. It seemed to take longer, and he couldn't stop the light. He tried, but he couldn't." Cordy was sobbing again. "After he..... the light lowered and was going to kill all those demons we tried to save. Then you jumped and turned it off." Cordy hugged Angel again. "I was alone in the world. You can't leave me. You're all I have now." Angel hugged her for a few minutes to comfort her. Then he said, "Are you going back to sleep?" Cordy pulled away from him again. "What?" "I was thinking we could go to Giles'." "Why?" "To let him know we're back." "Oh." "Will you come?" Angel hoped she would. He needed to see Buffy again. He thought maybe Cordy could lure her to the mansion in the daylight. "If you're going. I don't want to stay here alone." "Ok." "Wait. I gotta clean up first. I look a mess." Cordelia sauntered off to the bathroom. ~An Hour Later~ Cordelia came out of the bathroom. "How do I look?" Angel looked at her and raised his eyebrows in question. "Do I look like the 'Sunnydale Cordelia' or the 'L.A. Cordelia'?" Angel quickly decided what she wanted to hear. "Sunnydale." "Good. Let's go." Cordelia walked outside to her car. Angel followed her. ********* Anya stopped in the middle of the road and looked at Xander. "Where are we going?" "That restaurant you like," Xander answered. The name of the restaurant escaped his mind. "What's the name of it?" Anya asked. "I... don't remember. Sorry," Xander said. Anya gave Xander a disappointed look. "I'm sorry. I'm just worried about Willow." "You're always worried about Willow. You never worry about me," Anya sounded sad. "We've been through this when we lost our voices." Anya sighed and decided not to say anything. "Great, now you're mad at me." "I just can't believe you forgot what my favorite restaurant is!" Anya crossed her arms over her chest. She walked ahead of Xander. Xander groaned and ran to catch up. "Take me home!" Anya demanded. "What about our anniversary?" "There is no anniversary. Our whole relationship has been a joke!" Anya started to walk faster. Xander stayed in his spot and wondered how he could make Anya happy again. ************* Angel and Cordelia walked up to Giles' doorstep. Cordy looked at Angel. "You knock." Angel gave Cordy a weird look. Then he knocked on the door. Giles answered it. "Angel, Cordelia. It's nice to see you." He could tell Cordy had been crying. He gave her a warm, comforting smile. "Hi," she said shyly. Giles had never known Cordy to be shy. Whatever's wrong is something major. he thought. "Come in," he said. Cordy and Angel walked in and sat on the couch. Giles decided instead of pushing Cordelia to tell him the problem, he would just talk about what has been going on in Sunnydale. After all it had been a while since they saw each other. True he had seen Angel over Thanksgiving, but they were busy with the 'Native American' problem and hiding the fact Angel was back in town from Buffy. "A lot has happened since you left. One of the things is we have gained some unbelievable help." Giles paused. "Well, who is it?" Angel asked dreading the answer from the tone in Giles' voice. "Well, it's-" "Peaches." Angel heard Spike say from the bathroom. "Spike?" Angel raised his eyebrows at Giles in amusement. He tried to stifle a smile. Giles shrugged. "Well..." he sounded embarrassed he turned to Spike for help. "Aren't you afraid he'll kill you?" Cordelia asked. "Not a problem," Giles said. "He can no longer bit people. There's these new commando people in town. They got ahold of him and somehow made him unable to hurt anybody." The next sound they heard was Spike's chains rattling. "When I get out of here, I'll kill you!" Giles looked from Cordy to Angel. "We'll see about that...."
