Title: Hiding Author: Lissa General disclaimers. This is just a no plot Cordelia and Doyle fluff. I was just really missing him on the show and decided to write a fluffy story. Enjoy. Cordelia snuck through the dark of her house. She tiptoed over to the closet and slid the door open. She looked in. When her eyes adjusted to the dark she gasped seeing someone already in there. "Doyle." she hissed. "This is my spot." Doyle grabbed her waist in the dark and pulled her to sit on his lap. "I'll share." Cordelia giggled and let him nuzzle her neck. "It's not fair." He grinned. "And when has fair ever been a requirement in the Doyle household?" He left a soft kiss against her throat. "Besides. You know Dennis will help her cheat anyway. It's no fair letting a ghost play hide and seek." Cordelia smiled softly. "Well...when you put it that way." She kissed him softly. He returned the kiss lovingly. He ran his hand through her hair and ran his other hand over her hip. Her hands lay loosely on his shoulders. Cordelia froze hearing tiny footsteps race down the stairs. "Are you sure Dennis?" came the innocent voice. "I didn't see them." "Shh." Cordelia advised against his lips. "Looks like our friendly poltergeist is cheating again." Doyle chuckled and burried his face into her throat. He tried to muffle his laughter into her neck. The bedroom door swung open. Cordelia nudged him. "Shh!" Doyle pulled back and looked at her playfully. "Don't 'shh' me." "Or you'll do what?" "This." He tickled her stomach and neck. She squealed and banged her elbow off the door trying to get away. "Doyle!" she cried in mock protest. The closet door flung open. "Gotcha!" a little girl around four sang. She jumped into Cordelia's lap. "I found you mommy!" Cordelia pouted. "Only because your father and Dennis cheat...isn't that right, Dennis?" The little girl laughed. "Dennis didn't help." Cordelia raised her eyebrow at her daughter. "Is that so, dear Jacalynn?" The small girl gave up with a giggle. "He helped a little." Cordelia stood up and hoisted Jacalynn to her hip. "Alright. I'm it." Doyle brushed his hand through their daughter's silky hair. "Can you ever forgive me for giving you up, love?" Cordelia mock glared. "I don't know." Doyle leaned in and captured her lips with his. Jacalynn covered her eyes. "Eww!" she complained. "Icky." Cordelia broke the tender kiss. "One, two,-" Doyle's eyes widened. "She's counting!" Jacalynn scrambled out of Cordelia's arms with a squeal. "Run, daddy!" Doyle grabbed her hand and they raced off down the hallway. "Hurry before mommy gets us." he told her. Cordelia watched them scamper away with a smile. She silently counted in her head then hollered. "Ready or not here I come!" She sprinted down the hallway. She searched a couple rooms then froze hearing whispers. Doyle obvious accent was heard. "Jackie, you kicked me...what are 'ye doin'?" There was silence for a moment then he continued. "Dennis picked out your hiding spot? No fair." Cordelia crept up to the door and slowly opened it. She rolled her eyes at the very Doyle like lump on the bed. She skipped over to it and tapped him on the back. "Found you." she said triumphantly. She screamed when someone grabbed her shoulder. "Doyle!" she yelled. He grinned back at her. "That's just a blanket, Darlin'." She slapped him good naturedly. "Jerk." He grinned and kissed her cheek. "I can't help myself." She smiled. "I know you can't...what do you say we find your daughter. Who knows where that crazy ghost put her." Doyle nodded. "Good idea. I don't want to find her in the dryer again." Cordelia's eyebrows shot up. "Dryer?!" She looked into the darkness. "Dennis!" The End
